My Body the Sanctuary
Kira Kramer
there is something so
feminine about being soft
my gentleness gives way
underneath your fingertips
it is very unique to be a woman
there is something worthwhile
in the dips of my hips
the curve of my spine
and the pillow of my pelvis
when you lay your head to rest
you find soft, sweet tenderness.
our bodies are not barren
not rigid icy tundras
a woman’s body is a sanctuary
it welcomes you home
with wondrous, voluptuous arches
with soothing melodies
my sanctuary, my home
your palace, oasis
take a rest in my softness
sanctity, security
my body is my sanctuary.
