Clouds
Liahm Blank
a bunny rabbit frolics in the sky
near spinning wheels of cotton candy cars
a fearsome dragon spreads his wings to fly
‘neath drifting pillows in the shape of stars
we lay atop this hill as children do
and point at clouds, an artist’s white reprise
our faces welcome in the morning’s blue
we try to picture what the other sees
i’ll cry the day when clouds forget to come
when you are not beside me on this hill
imagination and purity’s sum
you are the one who can make time stand still so there
we sit and watch the white clouds flow
two sun-kissed kids enjoying nature’s show
