February Update
Hello Thinkers,
Welcome back to Beyond Thought’s Monthly Update. To kick off our first update of the new year, we have plenty of news to share for you. From our upcoming issue to our new theme, there’s much to be excited about. So, let’s dive right in!
Submissions Opening: If you're looking to submit to Beyond Thought, then look no further. Starting February 1st, 2022, we will begin accepting submissions for our Spring issue! The closing date hasn’t been decided yet, but be sure to hurry in getting your submissions in!
New Theme Incoming: To compliment our new issue, we also have a new theme to inspire and excite you. This season’s theme is “Exploring danger, discovering beauty.” We want you to think about the wilderness, both the familiar and the unexplored. Really dig into the natural world! Photograph some wildlife, write a story in the woods, paint the beauty of the world… Whatever you like! Of course, you don’t have to follow this prompt. We want you to use it as inspiration. Let your creativity run wild!
What to think about for the new theme:
What does nature mean to you: Think about some of the memories that you have of nature.
What does nature evoke: If you're moved by nature, you can explore those feelings. Does it revitalize you? Frighten you? Make you wonder?
Where does nature take me: Does thinking about the outdoors take you to far off places? Are they alien worlds, fantasy lands, uncharted ruins?
And much more!
Update to the Updates: You read that right; we are updating our monthly updates. In the past, we would release an update within the first week of the following month. We’ve decided to change when the update is released to make it easier for our audience to keep track of. You can now expect the monthly update to be available on the first Sunday of the month.
Accepting new members: As always, we are looking for new faces who want to join us at the Beyond Thought Creative Arts Journal. If you’re interested in becoming a member, please fill out your information here and we’ll get back to you with more information.
