September Update

Hello Thinkers,

Welcome to the first in a new series, the Beyond Thought Monthly Updates! At the end of each month, the organization’s various activities will be published here for public viewing. We here at Beyond Thought are always looking for ways to connect with our followers, fans, and prospective newcomers, so we hope these updates can help with connecting us to our fantastic community. Without further ado, let’s get to some updates.

  • Submissions opened: Our biggest news to share is that our submissions for Fall 2021 opened this month on September 1st! From now until November 5th, you can submit here to potentially get your pieces into our next issue. We look forward to seeing what you have in store for us.

  • New theme: For our next issue, we developed a central theme to guide submitters who may need some direction for their submissions. Our theme is “Looking back and bringing forward.” We want our submitters to focus on themes of nostalgia and its relation to the present and future. However, we do not require submitters to rigorously follow this theme, so if you wish to create something that doesn’t perfectly align with it, that’s okay!

  • Involvement Fair: On September 1st, we attended the UNLV Involvement Fair and it was a huge success! We managed to get the word out about Beyond Thought to many people and gained many new valuable recruits. Thank you to everyone who came to say hello and for signing up for more information!

  • New members: After the Involvement Fair, we also got a whole bunch of recruits, many of whom have already taken up positions with us. As always, we are happy to welcome new members. If you are interested in joining us, please head over to our recruitment site here!

  • New Website Redesign: If you have checked our website recently, you may have noticed our new look. Our Graphic Design team has been hard at work redesigning our site to match our current theme. It now has a nostalgic feel that should help to inspire you on your pieces. You can take a look here.

That should cover it for this update. Thank you very much for reading. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us here. We look forward to seeing you again at the end of October!
