October Update
Hello Thinkers,
Welcome back to Beyond Thought’s Monthly Update. We hope you had a ghoulishly good Halloween. This month was pretty exciting, and with our Fall issue quickly approaching, that excitement is going to become exhilaration! Now, let’s get to some updates.
Last Week of submissions: On Friday, November 5th, submissions for our Fall 2021 issue, Vol. 3, will be officially closed. Once we’re closed, we will no longer be accepting any submissions until our next issue. If you haven’t submitted yet and want to, please do so before November 5th at midnight through here. And if you have already made a submission, we here at Beyond Thought want to give you a big thank you!
Upcoming Issue: With submissions closing, we will begin creating our Fall 2021 issue. There will be both a physical and a digital version available for purchase. We can’t wait to show off all of the great pieces that got accepted, so keep an eye out for it. Our current release date for Vol. 3 is December 3. If you would like to catch up with our previous volumes, you can purchase them here.
Blog Spotlight: There have been two new posts on our blog from the fantastic Kaela Omengan and Natalie Hernandez! Kaela created our first comic “Growing Up” and Natalie wrote “Reviewing Etsy’s ‘Blind Date with a Book.’” Give them a read here.
Karaoke Night: On Sunday 24th, our members had their first Halloween Karaoke Night! It was a great time with some amazing costumes, fun songs, and many laughs.
Merch Drop: The talented Taylor Omoto has released a new apparel design for us. In line with our theme of “looking back”, Taylor’s design riffs off of classic 80s movie posters for this nostalgic piece. Right now, you can get it on unisex hoodies and sweaters. You can find it and many other lavish looks in our store.
That’s all we got to share now. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this update. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us here. Make sure to stay tuned for more by following our Instagram at @beyondthoughtjournal!
