Many of said paintings were portraits and were painted with the subject displaying a neutral expression, allowing the atmosphere, the clothes, and the model's positioning paint the real picture of who they were.”

Deira Takase is an Art major with a focus in photography at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas finishing up her final year of the program. Back in her home town of Hilo, Hawai’i, Deira would help her uncle with his independent photography business by carrying equipment and holding reflectors and decided to pick up a camera herself for the first time in her second year of college after changing her degree from Hospitality to Photography. Simultaneously a digital artist, Deira also enjoys experimenting with ways to implement her knowledge and experience with color and composition into her photo work.
