Like a Secret

MacKenzie Matheny, known to almost no one by the artist moniker Mayhem, is a 24 year old, nonbinary artist born and raised in Las Vegas, currently attenting UNLV, majoring in art and minoring in creative writing. They are a multimedia artist, photographer, and writer.  Currently, their work focuses on some of the big philosophical questions that are pondered by young people today: What will our future look like? What are we meant to do with our lives? How do we fit into the world as it is? Can we make positive change in the world around us? Mayhem can be found in all forms in all places. Creating moments of controlled mayhem is cathartic. Their aim as an artist in the future is to help bring their generation, and the generations to come, a little more cathartic mayhem with their work.
